What is this course about?
The Data Entry Operator course follows the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) Level 4 as set in place by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) of India.
The course has been developed for the role of Data Entry Operator under Business Process Management sub-sector of Information Technology and Information Technology Enabling Services (IT-ITeS) sector.
The course aims to impart interactive training for aspiring data entry operators on the following topics:
Undertaking Data Entry Services
Managing work to meet requirements
Maintaining a healthy, safe and secure environment
Upon successful completion of this course, the candidate will be eligible to work as a Data Entry Operator.
What is the sector about?
The Data Entry industry in India is growing rapidly as it is a preferred destination for business in the IT-ITeS sector. Data Entry is the center of the IT industry since it plays a fundamental role in helping companies reach international standards of excellence and proficiency. It is for this reason that Data is regarded as the new Oil.
The IT-Business Process Management sub-sector stood at $177 billion in 2019 witnessing a growth of 6.1% per annum. The sub-sector is expected to grow to the magnitude of $350 billion creating tens of thousands of jobs*. The government has also been very supportive in the progress of the sector with its investment and policy support initiatives like MeitY Startup Hub portal, National Policy on Software Products, etc. The continuing support from the government is going to contribute significantly in improving the pace of the growth of the sector and will lead to a higher demand for Data Entry Operators.
