The Refractionist course follows the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) as set in place by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) of India. This course is designed to instill extraordinary knowledge and skill inputs required for a Refractionist to kick start a wonderful career.

The course enables the candidate to carry out various tests using all the latest equipment in the market and creating a strong foundational knowledge in the subject area for the candidates.

This will ensure that your training is congruent with International Standards and will be recognized both in India and abroad.

 

The course aims to impart interactive training for aspiring refractionist on the following topics:

❖      Effectively record the patient’s optometric histories

❖      perform tests of visual acuity including distant and near vision with and without optical correction

❖      Assess the visual field

❖      Understand the principles of retinoscopy and subjective refraction.

❖      Dispense spectacles and optical prescription accurately.

❖      How to maintain confidentiality of medical records.

❖      Work within the level of competence in accordance with legislation, protocols and guidelines
